Stuffed pasta, Bertagni 1882 invests 11 million in Trentino

A further private investment by Bertagni 1882 on the Avio plant amounting to 11 million euros for the two-year period 2024-2025.

The company based in Arcugnano (Vicenza), has already invested over 40 million euros in Trentino in recent years: it arrived in Borghetto di Avio in 2017, taking over the former Malgara Chiari e Forti after bankruptcy. Now the agreement with Trentino Sviluppo for an expansion real estate operation which will lead to the Borghetto plant becoming the company’s main production site. Specifically, the production building will be joined with the former “Le Cont” building, creating a storage area and a new filling preparation kitchen which will allow the installation of two new production lines in 2025. A dam will also be built to protect the entire area from the risk of hydrogeological instability and a new purifier and the refrigeration capacity will be enhanced through the installation of a new refrigeration plant.

Once fully operational, the factory will be equipped with 10 production lines: 7 for conventional filled pasta (both tortellini and ravioli), two for vegan pasta and one for smooth pasta. The company undertakes to reach and maintain an employment level of 165 employees at its Trentino headquarters for the next ten years.
