The Fedrigoni Group, operator of luxury packaging and other creative applications, has announced the acquisition – through a capital increase – of a minority share of SharpEndthe consultancy led by Cameron Worth, CEO and founder.

The operation consists of an initial investment, with a path to acquire the entire capital in the long term, and is part of the new corporate venture capital program that Fedrigoni has launched to identify innovative start-ups with which to accelerate its innovation process and the acquisition of new technologies.

SharpEnd was founded in 2015 as the first Internet of Things agency in the world, with the mission of helping brands evolve their products, packaging and customer engagement through connected solutions. «The world of connected products is increasingly strategic for us and this operation, strongly complementary and synergistic with the recent acquisitions of Tageos and the Grenoble Research and Development Center, will strengthen our portfolio of solutions in the world of intelligent labels and papers – he states Marco Nespolo, CEO of the Fedrigoni Group -. SharpEnd provides solutions and consultancy services to support large brands, particularly in the luxury and consumer goods sectors, in the creation of intelligent products and packaging, fundamental for the safety, authenticity and traceability of products but also to offer end users increasingly engaging purchasing experiences”.
