Sicily, the winners of the “Europe tells its story” journalism award

There are ten winners of the second edition of the journalism prize Po Fesr Sicily, Europe tells its story, organized by the Planning Department of the Sicilian Region (Coordination Authority of the Management Authority of Po Fesr Sicily 2014-2020) and by the Order of Journalists of Sicily. Five categories examined by the commission: TV, Web, Print media, Radio, Press agencies.

The initiative, aimed at journalists registered with the Order of Sicily, rewards authors of articles, reports and services on facts, stories and projects linked to the use of EU funds on the island, aired or published between 5 July and 15 November 2023 in print, TV, radio, news agencies or online newspapers (regularly registered).

«The award evaluation commission, which included members of the Sicilian Region and the Order of Journalists of Sicily – we read in a press release from the department – ​​evaluated the works according to the criteria of clarity of presentation, originality, the quality of the narration, the in-depth analysis and the correctness of the terms used”.

Here are all the winners. For the TV category, first place is Luca Ciliberti (Telecolor), second Valentina Bongiovanni (Alpa Uno). For the Web, first Nino Amadore (ilsole24ore.com), second Calogero Morreale (gds.it). The Radio category instead goes to Salvatore Pisciotta (Radio Time). For the printed press, first place goes to Michele Guccione (La Sicilia), in second place ex aequo Domenico Bertè (Gazzetta del Sud) and Roberto Chifari (Corriere della sera-Corriere del Mezzogiorno).

Finally, for the Press Agencies category, first place goes to Roberto Ginex, second to Salvo Ricco, both from Ansa.
