Nature photographs and Gustav Klimt in Bard

Until 2 June, Fort Bard hosts the 59th edition of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, the award dedicated to nature photography promoted by the Natural History Museum in London. The exhibition at the Forte di Bard presents the 100 award-winning shots within light panels which make them even more exciting. Winning the title of nature photographer of the year was the French marine biologist and photographer Laurent Ballesta, already winner in 2021, thanks to the photo of a horseshoe crab with three small golden trevally. Also at the Forte di Bard, as part of the exhibition Gustav Klimt, the adventures of a masterpiece, a series of collateral initiatives are planned. Two guided tours will take place on February 25th and March 10th, starting at 3.00 pm. Visits are by reservation at a cost of 8 euros including the entrance ticket. A recital dedicated to the famous painting and its daring vicissitudes, entitled Portrait of a Lady, is scheduled for Sunday 3 March at 3.30 pm.
