Naples, «Meet Italian Brand 2024» opens: 80 companies meet 100 buyers

Kiton, Carpisa, Isaia, Harmont & Blain, are just the best known of the 80 Campania fashion companies participating in the promotion and internationalization event «Meet Italian Brands 2024», which will be held until January 24th in the pavilions of the Mostra d ‘Overseas of Naples. It is a B2B fashion event _ dedicated to networking and relationships with foreign markets – which allows companies in the total look clothing sector that distribute their own brand through franchising & retail sales channels to make their production offer known to employees to the fashion sector of the rest of the world.

One billion in turnover

The 80 Campania companies, large and small, were selected through an Expression of Interest issued by the Campania Region: in total these reach over 1 billion in turnover and approximately 20 thousand employees including related industries. However, around 120 foreign buyers will participate in the event, coming from 35 countries and 5 continents (America, Asia, United Arab Emirates, Europe and Africa), with a numerically significant representation of operators from South Africa, a country that has long been attentive to fashion and Campania creations in general.

Broad partnership

The «Meet Italian Brands 2024», developed in line with the strategies identified by the Campania Region and the Regional Table of Fashion and Design (MODEC), involves, in addition to the Campania Region, also ITA-ICE – agency for internationalization, ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Confindustria Campania and Unione Industriali Napoli in the role of promoter, as well as CIS-Interporto Campano – Nola Business Park, Mostra d’Oltremare Spa, University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. SMI – Sistema Moda Italia, Assocalzaturifici and the Regional Fashion Museum are also partners.

The showcase on the 365 Smart platform

The format involves not only exhibitions and fashion shows, but also discussions, training and visits to companies. Furthermore, for the occasion, the dedicated internet platform “365 SMART” was created by ITA-ICE, promoted within the network of the Agency’s 78 foreign offices and on which digital showcases reserved for each individual participating company were created.

The opening ceremony was attended by the regional councilor for Productive Activities Antonio Marchiello, the councilor of the Municipality of Naples for Youth Policies and Work Chiara Marciani; the general director of ITA ICE Matteo Masini, the advisor to the minister for Business and Made in Italy, Roberto Luongo, the president of Unioncamere, Andrea Prete, the rector of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” Giovanni Francesco Nicoletti, the vice-president of ‘Unione Industriali Napoli Carlo Palmieri, for the Fashion and Design Table of Campania (MODEC) the Head of Unitary Programming Almerina Bove, the CEO of Mostra d’Oltremare Maria Caputo, the CEO of the Nola Business Park Cis – Interporto Campano Claudio Ricci.
