Lazio Region: 140 million euros from European funds for 52 urban development projects

The Lazio Region presented the territorial strategies for the PR (Regional Programme) co-financed by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) for the period 2021-2027, the aim of which is to support and promote the development of medium-sized urban areas (Frosinone, Latina, Rieti and Viterbo) and Rome Capital. The program invests 140 million euros in 52 urban development projects, with digital transformation interventions, urban regeneration, promotion of tourism and cultural offerings, energy transition, sustainable mobility, for economic development and social inclusion.

Added to these funds are 40 million from the Lazio ESF Program 2021-2027 which finances interventions for employability and social inclusion with the resources of the European Social Fund and 5 million euros for investments in the digitalisation of companies operating in the areas of strategies Territorial. «It is a tangible contribution to the redevelopment of public spaces and buildings but also to support the development of digital services of the Administrations – declared Roberta Angelilli, vice-president and councilor for economic development of the Lazio Region -.
