Barilla announces that from February it will lower prices by 7 to 13%. The operation will concern a large part of the pasta assortment and many Mulino Bianco products, from biscuits to snacks, from rusks to breads, but also some Pavesi items such as Gocciole. The promotion will last until December 31, 2024.

«This is – we read in a note from the Parma multinational – an extraordinary operation to reduce sales prices to direct customers and distributors». The objective is to meet consumers who are still struggling with inflation in their shopping carts which shows no signs of abating. According to Istat’s preliminary estimates for 2023, the prices of food goods not only show no signs of falling, but even record an acceleration in average annual growth: +9.8% in the year that has just ended, compared to +8.8% in 2022.

«We believe – adds Barilla – that this operation well represents the strong sense of responsibility with which our company has always operated, in order to honor and see confirmed the trust that the people and relevant stakeholders recognize».
