Arsenale together with Saudi Arabia Railways for the first Italian luxury train

It will cross the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the end of 2025. It is “Dream of the Desert”, the first luxury train resulting from the agreement signed today between Arsenale, an Italian company active in luxury hospitality, and Saudi Arabia Railways. After the agreements established by memorandum of understanding signed last March 15 between Sar and Arsenale, Bashar bin Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Sar, and Paolo BarlettaCEO of Arsenale, in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Railways, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, signed the documents that officially welcome «Dream of the Desert» as a new luxury train project in the Kingdom.

40 luxury cabins made in Italy

From the capital Riyadh to Qurayyat, on the northern border with Jordan, “Dream of the Desert” will travel with 40 luxury cabins made in Italy. Saudi Arabia will be the first country to have a luxury hospitality service by rail. «Dream of the Desert» will be completely customized and inspired by Saudi style and tradition. Bashar bin Khaled Al-Malik, underlined the pioneering role of the Saudi Arabian railway company in the implementation of strategic initiatives linked to the national vision on transport and logistics services (NTLS), also noting that «Dream of the Desert» will represent a great opportunity for the company, as it adds an important tourism and entertainment option to the list of services provided to its customers.

Barletta: Arsenale’s international presence strengthened

Paolo Barletta, CEO of Arsenale, said he was grateful for the opportunity to strengthen Arsenale’s international presence with the arrival of the first luxury train in Saudi Arabia. «I would like to express my gratitude to His Excellency Saleh Al Jasser and the CEO of Sar Bashar bin Khalid Al Malik, who promptly embraced and believed in this project.
